8gate emerged from Rhona Brown and Vicky Carroll joining forces to establish a working space for their art practice in 2018. Collaborating with each other and a number of other groups and spaces, a series of community art projects followed alongside each of us developing our individual work. Moving into AWOL Studios in 2022, this continues as Rhona’s base. The studio currently contains individual and small group explorations in pencil, charcoal, paint, linocut and tetrapack etching.
