Our home Hope Mill – a Grade II* listed building in Ancoats, Manchester, originally built in 1824 as a cotton spinning and fustian weaving mill for Joseph Clarke & Sons – has lived many lives. From engineering works to a dog bed factory, it stood for nearly two centuries before being brought back into use in 2001 by the Hope Mill Partnership.
Today, it’s home to a growing community of creatives, studios and cultural spaces, including the award-winning @hopemilltheatre , located in the mill’s old engine room.
Now, under one roof, AWOL Studios and Comme Ca Art come together to host our 5th annual Open Call – Your artwork could be shown here!
